Faithless intention

I was expecting for a kind of romance
for a story with a happy ending
I thought I would have a chance
so I could stop pretending

I wasn't looking for perfection
I wanted only protection and affection
from the one that I adore
who wants me even more

it costed me a high price
and dream had to be sacrificed

the words had been spoken
the promises had been broken

if there's ever a dream to share
and that's only one thing that matter
it has all turned to despair
and couldn't get any further
